Dancer Code of Conduct:

· I will provide support and respect for all DP staff at all times.

· I will encourage teamwork and good sportsmanship by having a positive attitude toward my classmates.

· Questioning any choreography piece or placement due to my ego or hurt feelings is inappropriate.

· I will choose not to engage in gossip or make negative comments about the faculty or any member of the Company, but choose, instead, to communicate respectfully.

· Bullying another student will not be tolerated. Harassment of another dance student is unacceptable behavior.

· I will attend class regularly unless I am ill or have a family emergency.

· I will show myself respect by being dressed in the proper attire for each dance class and hair done correctly and neatly.

· If I arrive late, I will ask the teacher’s permission to enter the classroom.

· I will serve as a proper and excellent role model for other dancers at all times.

· I promise to be a high-energy Company member, demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and commitment, which is essential in order to develop my artistic talents, physical skills and mental capabilities.

· I understand that as a Company member I am required to meet a higher standard in work ethic and supporting the entire studio.

· I will never post negative material on any form of social media with regard to The Dance Project, its students, parents, or faculty. Doing so will result in an immediate and non-negotiable termination from Company and studio enrollment.

· I understand that I may be dismissed from class or rehearsal for too much talking, playing, lack of effort, not being prepared, or inappropriate behavior of any kind.

· I understand that I may be released from Company and the studio if my conduct or my parent’s conduct becomes toxic or destructive to the Company or The Dance Project.

· I will remember to be humble in my privilege to be a part of The Company of The Dance Project and will not brag, boast, or make my fellow classmates at The Dance Project feel inferior for their lack of participation in The Company.
